Bill Clinton just called me.
Okay, so he was a phone-bot. But let me tell you, when you pick up the phone and hear “Hello, this is Bill Clinton,” it’s still noteworthy. For the record, my response was to burst into laughter and listen closely to the whole thing to see if they’d figured out some way to do personalization.
I’m proud to say I hung up on Bill myself. And Hillary.

i had the exact same reaction when ed harris called me yesterday – for some reason, it was a total crackup. could be because it actually said: “hi, this is ed harris. please don’t hang up. you might rememeber me from such films as….” thanks, troy mcclure!
