I expect better from you.
By ‘absolutely,’ do you mean what you say? Every political idea the man expresses is unworthy of consideration?
Likewise, does the use of the word ‘nutty’ apply to the man or to the ideas? If the man, it’s unlike you!
If the ideas, then, (to pick a particular political idea that Chomsky is associated with) I must enquire: is it nutty to perceive that media outlets tend to shape public opinion in such ways that the economic interests of the commercial entities behind them are protected from both rapid change and scrutiny?
That’s not to say I agree with everything the man has to say, mind you. I can’t even say if I agree with most of it.
And, may I add, he benefits from a little salutary mockery from time to time.
